Should you go on to place an order, this not only ensures the vinyl we order for you are the correct size, in some cases it also means we can work out the most cost-effective way of ordering for you.

Luxury Vinyl Tiles

Luxury Vinyl Tiles (known in the trade as LVT) are the latest revolution in the forward march of indoor modern flooring solutions.

“Peel and stick” vinyl tiles have been around for many years, but LVT – though similar in its layered construction – are thicker, more durable and waterproof, and allow for imprinting with realistic design textures which mimic natural materials like wood grain and stone.

Here at Carpet Connection we recommend Luxury Vinyl Tiles as a robust alternative to sheet vinyl, particularly suited to busy households and commercial high traffic areas. It’s scratch, stain and wear resistant, and most brand products come with a warranty. If a tile becomes physically damaged, it can quickly and easily be replaced with a fresh one. Cleaning is a simple matter of mopping once in a while.

There are LVT designs and styles suitable for use in any room of the house, or any other building for that matter – as long as they are applied to a flat, level surface. Stairs are not suitable for LVT, but you can install LVT just about anywhere else, from the kitchen to the living room and even the gym!

Most of the top flooring brands offer a range of LVT options, usually available as square or rectangular tiles in varying sizes, or, in the case of simulated wood vinyl tiles, as planks that can be laid just like laminate or wooden flooring. The tiles offer versatility – you can combine different shades or textures for a unique artistically varied floor or play it straight.

Advantages of LVT

The advantages of LVT over other types of flooring for nearly all applications just go on and on. For instance, LVT comes in different installation styles – self-adhesive with peel off backing; free-floating interlocking planks that click together requiring no sticking; or glue-down tiles that are securely stuck onto the subfloor.

Interior decorators love LVT because it allows them to achieve a host of different chic looks, such as authentic-looking wood grains of all sorts, marble, slate, pebbles or even concrete. While giving a realistic look the LVT is warmer and softer underfoot than the real thing, and certainly more comfortable to live with than ceramic tiles.

Carpet Connection supplies and professionally fits all the most popular brands of LVT across west Cornwall, and can generally source this fantastic flooring at very reasonable prices. We offer a free no-obligation estimate after precisely measuring the floor area to be covered, so there is minimum wastage.
